Dragos takes his luggage into the dorm room and takes a quick look around. The lump inside his suitcase starts to squirm again, so after he sees that he's alone in the dorm room for now, he carefully opens in up and lets his passenger stretch his legs. The honey badger quickly scrambles out of the suitcase and snarls at Dragos. "Hey, whoa easy there! You're okay."
The Honey Badger cautiously edges away from Dragos, who takes notice of the collection of artwork decorating his roommate's side of the dorm. As the honey badger edges towards his roommate's side of the dorm, Dragos begins to worry. "Okay let's not go there, I don't want our roommate's things getting damaged. It won't go well for us, okay?" The honey badgers snarls at him again.

One of the paintings swirls, and the face of a pale blonde haired young man with amber eyes pops out of the painting. "Who are you?" the head asked. "And what is that..." The head looks down towards the Honey Badger. "Is that a badger?"

Dragos jumps a bit when the painting moves and speaks. He stares at the person in the painting a moment before he seems to process his questions. "Oh...yes. He is a badger. He's my...uhm...familiar?" Okay so the badger isn't actually a familiar, but Dragos certainly likes to think he can have a honey badger as a familiar. The honey badger snarls at the painting.

"Awful friendly, isn't he." The head remarks sarcastically, before looking back to Dragos with a baffled expression. "Anyway, what're you doing in here? Are you my roommate or something else?"

Dragos looks to the head and says "Oh he's just tired from the trip. Once he gets settled in, he'll be fine." After the talking painting inquires as to whether or not they are roommates, he responds "Well I suppose we are. Though I must admit, you take up significantly less space than I had thought." He begins to look around and then says "Perhaps I can set up a lab to do some thorough research then..."

"Just don't obstruct the paintings." Tierney advises, reaching a long-fingered sandy hand out of the painting towards Dragos. "I go inside them. That's one of my powers." The painting that he was half-outside of, was one of a beach-scene, somewhere warm and tropical with a palm tree and a crystal-clear beach.

Dragos, ignoring the honey badger for a moment, walks over to examine Tierney as he partly emerges from the painting. "This is most fascinating!" he looks directly to him as he asks "Do you actually become the painting or do you go to the location the painting depicts?" The honey badger takes the opportunity to crawl underneath Dragos' bed to hide.

"There's a whole world behind here, like a movie set. There's actors and props and everything. If I were in that painting over there," Tierney gestured to one of the paintings to the right of where he was, "I get to experience everything inside a ski cabin in winter, drink hot cocoa, smell home-cooked food- gingerbreads, roast dinners, and sit by a crackling fireplace as someone inside there tells stories. The one of the Morroccan bazaar? There's a merchant in there who plays the Oud. He wants to woo the pretty woman who sometimes walks accompanied in the bazaar with her grandmother. But he's shy, so he gives me treats if I give him feedback on his playing."

Dragos walks from painting to painting as Tierney points them out and describes the scenes in each. He rubs his chin, listening intently but simultaneously becoming lost in thought. "Amazing..." he says quietly, before looking to him. "Have you ever gone into a Salvador Dali painting? Actually...that may be a bit cliche. Have you ever thought about entering one of Zdzislaw Beksinki's paintings?"

"I've gone inside a Dali once before." Tierney said firmly. "Though I refuse to tell you what happened. I don't like remembering it."
Stepping out of the painting, Tierney was revealed to be a lanky fellow with long limbs, wearing beach attire. Reaching for a discarded sweater on his bed, he quickly pulled the oversized thing over his head before looking over to Dragos. "As for other artists, like that Beksinki you mentioned? I'd have to look them up first. Maybe they'd be fun to explore if I ever get the chance."

Dragos watches him curiously and nods lightly. "I understand," he says in response to the Dali paintings. "Concerning Beksinki, I could tell you...but I'll let you see for yourself." Dragos moves back towards his bed, though the almost forgotten honey badger gives a snarl. "Oh calm down!" he says to the animal and looks at Tierney again "He is the biggest grouch after a long trip." Curiously, Dragos speaks with an Eastern European accent, though it's clear he's spoken English quite well for a long time as well. The accent is there, but his exact regional dialect is difficult to determine.

Tierney settles on top of his own bed, getting comfortable. "How did you come across him?" he asks curiously, glancing over to Dragos's side of the room. "He doesn't look like any badger I've seen out in the countryside."

Dragos pauses before answering his question "Well I had to do some favors for some people. He's a honey badger, from Africa. They're known for their...antics, even compared to other related species." He kneels down and talks to the badger "You do get up to your own fair share of mischief, don't you?" he chuckles and reaches to pet him but the badger snarls and swipes at him, causing Dragos to draw his hand back quickly. "Okay, okay you can just take a moment under there."

"He doesn't seem very tame." Tierney remarked. "Then, I suppose it could be because he misses Africa. I imagine it's far too chilly for him here." He observed the Badger as it made gruff noises from under Dragos's bed. "Or He could be hungry. I reckon Abu would know what Honey Badgers eat." he remarked to himself, eyes still focused on the badger.

Dragos looks to Tierney and says "To my knowledge, they aren't very picky eaters. As they say, honey badger don't give a fu-" before he can finish, the honey badger snarls irritably. Dragos clears his throat and says "Perhaps you are right, maybe a little snack would calm him down."

"What'll you be feeding him?" Tierney asks, watching the angry honey badger, then glancing up to Dragos with a slight frown, "... hopefully not human food, right?"

Dragos nods and says "Well they're not terribly picky eaters, so it's not difficult. I won't be feeding him overly processed food." He looks toward the underside of the bed and says to the honey badger "Would you like some beef jerky?"

"He can't live on just Beef Jerky- he'll get fat and sick!" Tierney protested.

"Of course he can't!" Dragos replied. "He needs and enjoys honey as well. I mean, it is in his name...well, his species name. He will receive a balanced diet, I assure you! The beef jerky is merely to calm him down and make him less eagerly to murder me as I sleep tonight."
He says the last part so matter-of-factly that Tierney may wonder if Dragos has fended the badger off as it tried to murder him horribly.

Tierney groaned and shook his head in disbelief. "Fuck it, I'm gonna bring Abu." He stands, stepping over to one painting of a man with a turban who looks like a librarian, sitting at a desk and writing on many intricate sheets of paper in a tower, and steps into it.

Dragos looks over and watches Tierney as he walks over to the other painting. He blinks a bit and asks "Abu? Who's that?"
