After a moment professor Carbrey will answer the door himself, "Please come in Paige." He says and motions for her to come inside. His office is nicely put together there are pictures of him with the classes that have gone through the school for the last three years. Some work books behind him. A framed Trans Pride flag on the wall. In the corner is a glass ball of some sort with eyes watching.

"Your future has suffering in it." Says the Ball.

"Shush Sothollal," Elroy says and puts a towel over the ball. "Don't mind him he's a demon. He's never been pleasant."

"I mean I guess you could call him the ladder but he's really just a little shit. He's s metaphor for toxic group think." He is going to move to sit behind his desk and motion her to pick a chair. All the chairs in his office are different, all equally nice. "I would say you have the same ability as myself. It's called Spell Autopsy. After a spell has been cast someone with Spell Autopsy as an Ability can sense information about the spell. However it manifest to different people through different senses."

"Okay so how magical talents work, contrary to popular belief you do not need magic words or spell components for your magical talents you can just do them. My magical talent is paralyzation." He will says explaining, "While you are here you will learn more about your talents and how to expand them."

"It's okay you're here to learn. Asking questions is an important part of learning." He says and there is some laughter from under the towel. Elroy is going to punch the orb and it moves like rubber. "The realm that powers our magic is the realm of magic, the pillars of magic grow up to the Mortal Realm. The pillars that effect us are based on when we were born. My Paralyzation power is Spring. It's a variant of air. Rego Corpus, Rego meaning I Control and Corpus meaning Human body."

"Magic does react to the realm it's in. People find that in the Demonic Realm it can have negative side effects. In the Fae Realm it can be harder to control, this is either because the fae realm in of itself is more chaotic or because the fae realm is farther from the Root of Magic. Magic tends to be more powerful in the Divine realm,and in the Realm of Magic no one is really sure."

"Also magic can come from other realms as sources, Blessings and Miracles comes from the Divine Realm, Pacts can be made with Demons and Fae. There is a lot of theory on these things. Primary Magi's magic does come completely from the Root."

"Oh Sorry, slipped my mind. I smell things. Which I know sounds... odd but it works for me." He is going to lean back, "I am not going to go into this until day two of classes, but the Order of Hermes uses the following to categorize magics. There is the reasons which control certain aspects of powers. There is the Action and then what the action effects. The Actions are Creo, I Create, Intellego, I Perceive, Muto, I Transform, Perdo, I Destroy, and Rego I control."

He is really getting into talking about things at this point and carries on.

"So those are the action the technique, as it's formally called in the Order. After that you have the Form that the Magic effects. Animal, which can cover many Season, Often Birds are Spring due to being creatures of Air, Land animals are Autumn due to being related to Earth, fish are often Winter due to being water creatures. Auram, is connected to lighting, air weather, typically Spring affiliated. Aquam, which are liquids typically Water and Winter related. Corpus, which is the human body can be effect by many seasons. Herbam, mostly Spring because it tends to involve plant but also none animal life forms. Ignem which is light and heat, so mainly a fire related Form and therefore Summer. Imaginem, which is images and Sounds, often a Winter form. Mentem, Deals with Emotions thoughts and spirits, which can mean Summer for Emotions, Autumn for Thoughts and Winter for Ghosts. Terram, is Earth and Minerals so Autumn. Last we have Vim Which is magic in and of itself."

"So Evan's ability would be Rego Vim, a Winter power because Winter deals in reflections. He Controls Magic."

Professor Carbrey will give a small smile. "All this is complex. Don;t think you need to know it all at once, it's why you've come to a school after all."

"I have a reading list on the Tablet for the school." He will point out then turn around to his book case and take a book off the self. "This is a book by Tytalus on the Ego and it's importance to magic." He will offer it to her. "You can borrow it."
