Lauren was assigned to a girl's dorm room by accident due to his name being seen as feminine. So he has moved into the common room o use the couch there as a bed until everything can be sorted out. He has his bag set aside and is going through his new smart phone.

A smallish shaggy grey dog quietly padded into the common room from down one one of the halls. She stopped to click her head and ears at the impromptu bedroom, and whined quietly. "Ygritte?" A soft voice called, and Sam followed soon after, and stopped much like the dog had. "Sorry, didn't know this was someone's house."

"Oh no. It's not my house I am just sleeping here until rooms get sorted. I was put into a girl's room because my name is Lauren and now it's a girls name but it didn't use to be... sorry I am babbling." He says and smiles. "I'm Lauren Ward, from Kent. People call me Law if you like." He will give a smile and an awkward little wave.

Ezra pops their head in on the way to the kitchen and catches Law's explanation.
"Hey, you're that kid from the train station, right? If you want you can crash in my room 'til they get things sorted. Might be a bit better than sleeping out here in the open."

"S'okay. I found three or so so far besides the one they put me in. Just make sure you hide your stuff real good. Not a lot of grabbers here yet but one's always around. I'm Sam. This is Ygritte." Sam flopped down on a convenient cushion and scratched the dogs ears. If she barks, look around. If she growls get your bag and be set to leg it."

"Yeah, that's me we did meet at the train station." He smiles. "If you don't mind Ezra I will take you up on that offer. They said things will be fixed up by tomorrow evening."
"Nice to meet you, Sam. It's nice to meet you. I am going to crash with Ezra I think. Maybe I can find a cot to sleep in for now." He seems to be thinking while talking. "So are the two of you excited for classes?"

"Nice to meet you."
They turn back to Law. "If nothing else, we can probably drag a couch in. I am stronger than I look. As for classes, I mean, I guess I'm excited? Magic lessons can't be any worse than algebra."

Sam nodded to Ezra and then to Lauren's decision. The colour drained out he Sams face as the remarks settled in. "What kind of lessons? What's algebra?"

"Well, they're going to teach us how to use our magic. And from what me, dad and Anthony read up on we're also allowed to take other classes we want." Law tried to talk in a gentle calm voice because Sam seemed a little freaked out.
"Okay, I think there is a couch on the same floor as the student dorms," Law says and chuckles. "Oh, I am hoping it's more like Star Wars. See yourself doing it and do it... I can dream right?"

"Algebra is hell," Ezra declares authoritatively. "It's math with letters. I'm never taking it again."
