Entering the Dragon (Open; Tod)

Tod pulled up in the shuttle from the airport, looking around with a mixture of apprehension and wonder. He'd been anxious as possible leading up to today. It was his first time traveling without his parents, his first time outside the country, and he was going to be here for quite a while. He hoped he didn't stand out too much as the weirdo. Then again, maybe at this kind of school that would help him blend in?

Climbing out of the vehicle and helping the driver get his luggage from the trunk, he then looks around and spots the two people by the door. "Excuse me, but where do I check in?" he asks.

Tod goes a bit wide-eyed at Sidney's display of power, but nods. "Nice to meet you...uh, what's the proper term to call you?" he asks, looking up at the dragon skull. "It...looks a lot bigger in real life than I imagined." The truth was that he never would have imagined he'd be at a school like this or that magic would be anything in his life besides a cool thing he knows some can do. He's nervous and a bit lost (the jet lag isn't much help with that, frankly), and it probably shows, but he's doing his best to just roll with things.

Tod blinks. "Oh...uh, he/him, but I meant do I call you Headmaster, Professor...uh...I don't know how it works in the UK." He drags the suitcases behind him, following along and trying to look around and commit as much of it to memory as he can.

"If you have the time, it's probably less for me to take in if you show me around," he says. "I haven't slept in at least 24 hours, so my brain is basically mush at this point. Okay, so library is to the left somewhere," he repeats, trying to help commit it to memory.

Tod chuckles a bit. "Sleep is probably going to be hard to come by," he admits. Listening to the location of the dorms, he nods. "I take it second years are on second floor and so on?"

Tod nods. "Sounds good, thanks." Once at the room, he opens the door an pokes his head inside, tentatively at first before heading inside. Luggage goes off to one side and his jacket gets hung neatly on the back of a desk chair. Then he looks around his home for the next year. "Uh, how do I get ahold of you or someone for the tour?"

Tod smiles and nods. "Will do. Thank you." Once alone in his room, Tod starts to unpack, but halfway through the process, he makes the fatal mistake of sitting on the bed. When he wakes up a few hours later, rubbing the sleep from his eyes, he looks around in confusion at the unfamiliar setting and then grumbles. "Ugh... Right. School." He goes over to a mirror and makes sure he doesn't look too disheveled. Then he opens the door to the hallways. "Um...Hazel?" he says the name of the familiar.

Tod literally yelps in surprise and stumbles back. "Hooooolyyyyeahyoucantalk..." he blurts in surprise. After taking a moment to recover and collect himself, he says, "Uh, sorry. I'm new here. I was told to call for you when I was ready for a tour of the school?"

"A tour sounds great, and I really don't mean any offense by this, but would you mind calling a fellow student? It'd be great if you both want to join but I'm also kind of itching to get to know folks." He doesn't say it, but Tod also suspects that if he's following Hazel around, he'll be way too distracted by the fact she's a talking cat to pay attention to the tour itself. Because seriously! Who wouldn't be?!
